Future Royal 1, Week 2 - Upcoming Week
Welcome!
So sorry about sending this out later than usual, I'll try to stick to sending it out by 4PM on Sundays before the week. I was running a marathon in Grand Rapids MI yesteday, so if you see me hobbling and waddling around, that's why!
For announcements/important items, we have a few things:
1. Today, Monday 9/9 we have an All-Age Group meeting at 7:30PM!
"We would also like to invite all age group parents and swimmers to our Kick-Off meeting on September 9th at 7:30 p.m. in the large group instruction classroom at HSE. The LGI is located just West of the main competition gym; we will have coaches lined up in the hallways to help direct you to the classroom."
-- From Coach Maegen and Blake, the heads of our Age-Group Program (Age-Group means any swimmer under 14 Years of Age).
I'll send a separate email about just this item, so if you see it twice that's why! This should hopefully be a place to get an idea of what our age-group program as a whole will look like and focus on.
I'll be at this meeting, and if you have any questions about it (in case you're unable to attend) just email me and ask!
2. This Friday 9/13 we have NO practice, because of a High School football game!
3. I'll be looking to schedule a FR1 ~only~ meeting for parents sometime next week, be on the lookout for that in the next newsletter and a separate email with the same details.
That meeting will go over FR1 specific expectations, our season plan, details about what we will be doing in practice, and some info about myself!
4. I've talked with many parents individually, and we'll go over this at our FR1 meeting sometime next week, but if you haven't already, visit the Elsmore swim shop to make sure your swimmer has Fins and a Kickboard!
